Our Services

Measured. Balanced.
Certified.

Nine disciplines, one uncompromising standard. Every engagement is executed by a NEBB-certified firm, documented in a certified report, and backed by the only 2-year test & balance warranty in Arizona.

01

HVAC Test & Balance

The heart of what we do. Using a full complement of calibrated instruments, our technicians test and adjust the air and water moving through your building's systems until measured performance matches design specification — outlet by outlet, coil by coil.

A properly balanced system does more than keep occupants comfortable. It reduces strain on fans, pumps, and compressors, cuts maintenance costs, extends equipment life, and drives down energy consumption for the life of the building. An unbalanced system quietly does the opposite — every hour it runs.

Life Safety Testing

When an emergency strikes, your building's life safety systems have one job — and there is no partial credit. CSA performs thorough, certified testing of life safety equipment to verify that detection and notification systems will protect occupants when it counts.

Every inspection is performed to certification standards and delivered with a comprehensive report, giving owners, facility managers, and authorities having jurisdiction the documentation they need.

Critical Room & O.R. Certification

In a healthcare facility, air movement is a clinical variable. Operating rooms and critical care spaces require yearly testing and certification of their ventilation — and the margin for error is zero.

We verify the measurements that keep patients safe: pressure relationships between spaces, air changes per hour, and overall ventilation performance. Positive pressure keeps contaminants out of an operating room; negative pressure keeps them contained in isolation. Getting those relationships right — and proving it annually — is what keeps a healthcare facility compliant and its patients protected. Our healthcare portfolio includes facilities like Flagstaff Medical and San Carlos Hospital.

HVAC Test Analysis Reports

Hot floors. Cold offices. Runaway utility bills. When a system underperforms, guessing is expensive — measuring is not.

Our performance testing identifies exactly why an HVAC system isn't delivering, establishes the system's true capacities, and produces engineered recommendations for restoring efficiency. The result is a clear, prioritized path from "something's wrong" to "problem solved" — grounded in field data, not speculation.

Commissioning & Retro-Commissioning

A building is a promise — commissioning is how that promise gets kept. We verify that HVAC subsystems in new construction operate exactly as engineered, and through retro-commissioning we bring existing buildings back to the performance they were designed for.

The payoff is measured in energy: systems tuned to their design intent stop overworking, stop overspending, and start delivering the comfort and efficiency the owner paid for on day one.

Kitchen Hood Certification

A commercial kitchen lives and dies by its exhaust. We test kitchen hood systems end-to-end — including capture and containment assessment — to confirm that smoke, grease-laden vapor, and heat go where they're supposed to: out.

Certified hood testing protects your staff, your guests, and your compliance standing — and a properly performing exhaust system keeps the whole kitchen's makeup air in balance.

Duct Leak Testing

You paid to condition that air — leaky ductwork gives it away to your ceiling plenum. By pressurizing the duct system, we prove whether it was installed and sealed correctly.

Duct leakage testing verifies energy-efficiency compliance and documents the results, so leaks get found and fixed while they're still fixable — not after years of wasted energy.

Stairwell Pressurization

In a high-rise fire, the stairwell is the way out — and code requires it to stay smoke-free. Pressurization systems hold the stairwell at a higher pressure than surrounding floors so smoke can't follow occupants in.

We test that the pressurization performs as designed and that stairwell doors still operate properly against that pressure — because an exit route only counts if people can actually use it.

Sound Testing

Great mechanical systems are felt, not heard. We measure and document sound levels so conference rooms, patient rooms, and classrooms meet their acoustic requirements.

When noise is a problem, measurement is the first step to a fix — identifying which equipment, pathways, or spaces are out of spec.
